You’re a lucky person if you know where you want to be — spiritually, where your soul wants to be. It’s why many people go home to be buried. I feel a strong connection to the Adelaide Hills, because of my ancestral connections to the place, because of their ecological importance, because of my own long history living in the area, raising a family and making treasured memories. You feel you’ve made it better when you have time to enrich the biodiversity of an area.
Reflecting on my work, across my life, there’s power in retaining editorial control over one’s own message and creative projects, when it comes to expressing oneself fully and authentically.
