The power of our global community is underutilised. We see global conflicts where our international bodies don’t always live up to the expectations and principles they were established upon.
Where I see delays in our bureaucratic systems, it’s easy to feel helpless, yet we see instances where people come together to work as part of a global team, we’re reminded that it is possible, as we saw with Arnold Dix’s recent actions.
Similarly, in reflecting on the cave rescue, I saw the power of the global community disregarding their differences and coming together to save thirteen young people. That’s using power for good!
The abuse of power, or power inequality, is something worth fighting against.
