Engineer/Community Leader
When I think of power, I think of energy over time (I am an engineer after all!).
There’s a lot of distributed power within the community, channelling community power is more important than the power of individuals. Bundling energy — power, getting everyone to pull in the same direction, that’s where things are achieved. We have so many distributed power resources, and similarly, if we could bundle our capacity, the potential for change is immense.
When I think of power within the energy sector, we are on the edge, a leading area in terms of renewable energy. The opportunities are huge and the challenges also. I can see South Australia becoming a global leader in renewable energy.
