Author
Obviously, being a writer, I believe in the power of the written word to offer perspective, windows into lives and seeking to understand the world in which we live. Particularly when writing for children, when they read something and recognise themselves within a book, it empowers them to believe they can make change. Ultimately, power is about empowerment.
Within the creases of my aging skin, I still feel the dust of the fields I played in as a child. My roots are firmly planted in local soil despite the worldly reach of my work. I think that the ‘history’ of my upbringing, my childhood, where I live (Peterborough) and what I do there, informs the way I see and interpret things.
