My story is about personal power and the ways it was amplified through migration. When my parents migrated from Poland in the early 90s, it was in pursuit of space for greater self determination. The connection between power and place is very strong within my family, movement and migration was a tool to reclaim power through personal agency.
When I think of South Australian figures with power, I think of our artists, creatives, and artistic characters — Carla Lippis and Electric Fields for example, exemplify strength of voice, authentic personal identity and oomph!
