I was a tiny kid who had to rise above traditional senses of power in things I was doing, especially the sports field, hip-hop scene, and workplace. It was only my unreasonable self-belief that propelled me along.

I think Carclew has played a pivotal role in the arts and elevated so many artists like myself in different roles over many years. In my earlier years as an artist, and in the hip-hop scene, Carclew was supportive of so many figures, MC’s, dancers, street artists, and graffiti artists. A place like Carclew provided a home for artists like myself, provided workshops and lent recognition to forms of art that haven’t always occupied prominent space, which has been very meaningful to me.
