I live in a time and in a society where women are free to make choices in their lives. I have had the personal power to make decisions regarding my education, career, interests, family size and finances. In my education particularly, I was free to simply follow my diverse interests and passions, which exposed me to a whole range of industries and afforded me a rich and varied series of career opportunities. Today, this has culminated in my enjoying the autonomy of self-employment.
Power can result in altruistic or selfish decisions being made. Synergy results from people working and using their power collaboratively to achieve common goals. These goals can be nation building or at a grassroots level, an act that improves a community.
