Growing up in the wine industry, with parents who have been leaders in their businesses, particularly in the organic and biodynamic farming space, has been an inspiring model to follow, and gave me some of the courage I needed to open my own business at 22. I also know the huge power that exists in our local community; I value the word of mouth and relationships that fuel small businesses and build connections.
I think there’s so much value to looking back at our history, and treasuring our heritage. I named my business in homage to my grandmother Juj, who is such a firmly driven lady, a one-time business owner herself, and someone I have such a special relationship with and so much to learn from.
