I immediately think of sharing power, distribution of power, empowerment… people coming together, using their collective energy to create change. I think about equitable structures where power can be distributed, that it sits with many, not one individual. Let’s dismantle power structures that don’t value inclusion, equity, diversity and access.
A lot of creative projects that I have been involved in have been about trying to shift perspectives, to change hearts and minds, to make the world a more inclusive, just and progressive place. But I work with teams, it’s never just me… I believe in the power of the arts to ignite change.
