Actor/Dancer/Choreographer/Producer

For me, as a child, dancers were very powerful role models, like goddesses. I grew up with a sense that it was a natural pathway to be on that stage, and be doing that as a normal part of everyday life. I was lucky enough to be encouraged by my family in doing that; to dance in restaurants, to wear my tutu, to be given permission to shine outwardly.

There have been tremendous cultural shifts across the 80s and the 90s, but I think it’s wonderful to see people being more outwardly expressive, and dance is a perfect vehicle for this.
