As a first generation Australian from Austrian/Croatian parents, I’m keenly aware that there’s importance in telling stories that advocate for people from all walks of life — that’s where the power in storytelling lives.
When people lose their story, they can forget who they are, and lose their own power. Because English was my third language, the first hurdle in my schooling was communication, I found myself gravitating towards wanting to make things clear. My impulse and drive is to help others communicate effectively, through language acquisition and cabaret workshops.
