Pole Manufacturing Coordinator at SA Power Networks
Well when I think of power, of course I think of electricity, because of my involvement with the power industry and the manufacture of Stobie poles for thirty-three years. A third of it’s lifetime if you like — Easter 1991 I started. A bit literal perhaps, but true!
More importantly though, there’s power in giving back. That’s my passion, I got into it 15 years ago. It took a while, but one day I woke up and I thought, it’s time to start giving. Through the SA Power Networks Employee Foundation, I participate in Cancer Council’s Relay For Life and the APEX Outback Postie Bike Ride. Every year we do 1200 kms in the outback on our trusty little postie bikes raising money for the Cancer Council and the APEX Outback Club.
