Hindley Street through the twentieth century was a genuine mixed-use street; it had industry, retail, cinema, theatre, restaurants, cafes, car yards, hotels, strip clubs, nightclubs, brothels, roller skating, ice skating and amusement arcades, as well as residences. Explore the city’s earliest ‘entertainment’ street and all it has offered over time!
