Although numerous signs of Willam Light’s historical role as Surveyor-General and ‘founder of Adelaide’ may be seen in South Australia, no city or museum bears his name. The Adelaide Town Hall compensates for this void. The watercolours and surveying instruments in the Colonel Light Room make us relive the setbacks orchestrated by his colleagues.
