Tile at the Schlodder Shelter in Dublin – A representation of the wells. Sketch by artist Jacqui Barr for the Dublin History Group.

5 Shillings per 400 Gallons of Water

In 1883 this was the price for water from the local water well. We will explore the story of water in Dublin and the decisions that were made regarding its delivery to the area. Water is vital to survival and whether from rain water tanks, government wells, dams or mains water, Dublin has used them all. Join us as we jump in and get our feet wet.
