Wool Scouring to Washing Machines: Manufacturing in West Torrens

Made in West Torrens – a chance to explore the amazing history of factories, workshops and what has been produced in our district over the past 180 years. Blankets, soap, ice, windmills, envelopes, household goods, gas stoves, car bodies, lawn mowers, trailers, leather, boot polish, foundries, cosmetics, tennis racquets, wine barrels, billy-cans, bricks, bags, water pipes, torpedo propellers, railway locomotives, water tanks and more.

Exhibition held in Kandahar Historic House c. 1900, open to the public for tours and viewing. Light refreshments available by donation.
