Experience the wonders of historic Watervale, established in 1847. Start your day at 10 am at the Watervale Institute with a Devonshire tea, then commence a self-guided tour to explore this beautiful village. You will take in St Mary’s Church, Watervale Uniting Church, 1870 Foresters’ Hall, and the last resting place of the pioneers at Watervale Cemetery.
Conclude your day by visiting Penwortham where the John Horrocks Cottage (c. 1839) is located. This original stone cottage was built by the founder of the area John Ainsworth Horrocks and is open 2-4 pm.
