Hope Valley Reservoir (Reservoirs SA)

Torrens Gorge, Hills, Reservoirs & Water Tour

Without the Torrens River Adelaide would never have developed. It provided all our water for many years with our first reservoir opening in 1860. Did you know the CBD had two small reservoirs too? We discover the stories of the octagonal Valve House in the parklands, Thorndon Park and Hope Valley reservoirs before travelling the picturesque Torrens Gorge to Kangaroo Creek, visiting the pretty Millbrook reservoir and the demolished town of Chain of Ponds. After passing South Para reservoir we visit the Whispering Wall at Barossa reservoir. Lunch stop in Gumeracha and afternoon tea in Williamstown. Bookings essential.
