Stories of Prospect Women: Past Achievers

Much of Prospect’s recorded early history is about the lives of men. Yet there are women deserving to have their stories told. We will follow the Prospect connections and achievements of four remarkable women: Dr Ruby Davy (first Australian woman to receive a music doctorate), Sister Lois Croxford (a nursing sister with a ‘mystery’ father and producer of medicinal ointments), Mrs Matilda Jane Evans aka Maud Jeanne Franc (first woman to have a novel published in South Australia) and Winifred Edna Preedy (first female dental surgeon in 1928 at the Dental Department, Adelaide Hospital). Bookings essential.
