Semaphore Workers Club Open Days

The Semaphore Workers Club has a unique collection of art works, photography, posters, stickers, and paraphernalia from the progressive movements of South Australia. The western bay window wall of the Club features a magnificent mural depicting the Le Fevre Peninsula pre and post colonisation.

Banners and artefacts from protests past hang on walls under century old pressed paper celings. Drinks are served from the United Trades and Labour Council bar that formerly graced the basement of the Trades Hall in South Adelaide.

With many political paintings, poignant local, national and international historical photographs, the Club maintains a connection with the struggles of the past whilst being connected to the ongoing fights for justice today and into the future.
