Queens have shaped our city and led our country through times of change and adversity. Our city is named after Queen Adelaide, at its heart is Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga named after Queen Victoria. Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning British monarch, will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, the 70th anniversary of her accession to the throne in 2022. Their regal forms and faces are immobilised in memorials and memorabilia, as statues, in photographs, paintings, prints, and on collectable plates, coins and stamps. The City of Adelaide Civic Collection contains a myriad of these items, on display throughout the Town Hall. Bookings essential.
