With the conclusion of WWI Soldiers Memorial Halls were set up as community centres to honour and assist Returned Service Personnel and honour those who did not return.
Our hall is one of those places, where the local community could come together to help all affected by the war put their lives back on track.
Funds were raised with dances, card and film nights, theatre plays and other community acitivies to assist those in need.
Today the hall is still an important venue for many community activities such as Scouts, markets, table tennis, yoga and many other social and community gatherings.
Have you wondered about the history of the our hall or a relative who may have fought in WWI? We have some information, do you? Come, share your family stories and view our photographic and military display.
