May Day in the Port

An opportunity for the public to join a historic May Day celebration in commemoration of the Centenary of the Port Adelaide Workers Memorial. The May Day march will take in sites of historical significance for unions in Port Adelaide and culminate in a street party on Nile Street. Join unions celebrating International Workers Day, hear the history of the day and the Workers Memorial – the only Lady of Justice statue in the world erected in recognition of the fight for justice for workers. While work and unions have changed – the fight for justice continues. Bookings essential.
