Knuckle Bones to Techno

Tucked away in the Valley of Eden is a small chapel built in 1928. During the History Festival, this unique building will host an intriguing toy display. Allow yourself to be transported back to the time before mass-produced toys, where children and parents improvised while whittling wood, sewing dolls or boiling sheep joint bones for a game of ‘knuckles’. Come see our display, spanning the pre-industrial days to modern times, including board games, chess pieces, teddy bears, dolls and other interesting childhood games and toys.
