The suburb of Elizabeth has a long association with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. On the 16th November 1955, South Australian Premier Sir Thomas Playford declared the ‘new town’ was to be known as ‘Elizabeth’, in her honour.
A display comemorating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Royal Family’s association with the former City of Elizabeth. Photographs, documents and memorabilia will be on view. The display will celebrate Her Majesty’s visits to Elizabeth in 1963 and 1977 and subsequent visits from other members of the Royal family.
