This easy-paced walking tour visits some of the former grandeur of North Adelaide along its southern fringe with stunning views over the city of Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills. We visit a former prestigious private college, some imposing terrace housing and the dress circle of Palmer Place overlooking Palmer Gardens.
You will learn about some of North Adelaide’s former residents who lived in these mansions, who had varying occupations including politicians, doctors, engineers, pastoralists, religious leaders, painters and educators.
Marvel at the 1850’s designs of Bishops Court, Christ Church and the Rectory and learn more about Adelaide’s designer, Colonel William Light.
