Heroes of the Skies: In the footsteps of Sir Ross Smith

In 1919 Captain Ross Smith came to fame along with his brother Lieutenant Keith Ross and their mechanics, Sergeants Wally Shiers and Jim Bennett by being the first Australian airmen to fly from England to Australia in 28 days in a modified Vickers Vimy bomber aircraft.

Carolyn Spooner joins us from the State Library of South Australia for a talk about all the places of significance to Sir Ross Smith, showing images from the State Library of South Australia collection and showing images of how the places look today.
