Elysium Fields Victorian Grocery & General Store: The Era of the Artisan

Olde Worlde General Store. Retreat to 1880 when life was savoured and craftmanship revered.

Explore the cellars and their exhibits. Wonder at the ingenious domestic Victorian technology such as butter churns, cream separators and meat safes. Marvel at the quack medicine and the outrageous claims made about them. Hear stories gathered from long-term locals about a world where everything was artisan.

The grand Elysium Fields Tea Rooms will be serving traditional fares such as Ploughman’s lunches (cheese, butter, bread and relish all handmade on site) and Devonshire teas. Listen to music and read articles from the era. Get your tea-leaves read while the kids play with Victorian era games and toys.

The store is stocked with preserves, tea, honey, handmade Victorian scents, soap and craft.
