Education in a Primary School During the World Wars

Have you wondered what school was like during times of war and how it affected children and their families? This exhibition looks at life on the home front in Australia during WWI and WWII, with a special focus Rose Park Primary School. It considers how children contributed to the war effort and how teachers, families, and the local community coped. Photographs and stories illustrate the times. What objects did children collect in preparation for school air raid practices? Join in interactive activities and learn something of what it was like living in war-time.  Have fun writing with pen and ink! Be creative using the materials available at the time and play various games without digital devices.
