Dr Duncan

Dr Duncan: His Death and its Impact

The drowning of Dr Duncan in the River Torrens on 10 May 1972 shocked the community and remains one of the state’s most notorious unsolved murders. With the 50th anniversary of his death approaching, Tim Reeves will take you back to the scene of the crime and examine his life and the case in detail. He also considers the impact of Duncan’s death, including the first and subsequent attempts at gay law reform in the state and nation. Is Dr Duncan a queer icon, or not? Come along to this fascinating talk and decide for yourself. Bookings essential.
