Daily Tours of Historic Clipper Ship ‘City of Adelaide’

Experience being in a genuine 1864 sailing ship. The City of Adelaide is undergoing partial restoration, with guided tours 10am-3pm inside the ship daily. Displays for all ages. View the restoration work being undertaken by volunteers. Note that stair access is required into and within the ship. No tours if forecast is 36 degrees or over. The City of Adelaide and the world famous Cutty Sark in the UK are the only intact surviving composite clipper ships. Many displays focus on social history, with volunteer guides providing details of passengers and crew from the vessel’s 23 return journeys UK-Adelaide, and their descendants. A special task for youngsters is to search for the rats hidden throughout the ship.
