Come & See Us Now: A Century of Change in Karrawirra Under Adelaide Bridge

A guided walking tour along the river path from Victoria Drive Police Station to and under Adelaide Bridge, exploring the rich history of both ancient and more recent water users. Notable commentaries on: the ancient cultural importance of these waters, the thrill of passenger boating as offered by the Popeye and its predecessors, the sport of rowing as exercised by Adelaide High School and Torrens Rowing Clubs and the art of building racing boats in boathouses now occupied by Jolley’s Restaurant and Lounders Cafe. The guide will question chosen personalities familiar with each location and fascinating anecdotes of past events. Bookings required by phone or email.
