Citizens & Sisters: Changing South Australia - Banner Exhibition

On the morning of 18 December 1894, the South Australian Parliament passed a momentous piece of legislation. SA women became the first Australian women and among the first in the world, to win the right to vote and the right to stand for Parliament. Beginning with the 1894 milestone, this exhibition explores the struggle for women’s rights in South Australia and considers the question: how much has changed? This is a History Trust of South Australia travelling exhibition.
