Between Two Worlds (Schumann, 2021)

Between Two Worlds: An Exhibition Celebrating Kaurna Heritage

The City of NPSP is located within the traditional Country of the Kaurna. Karrawirra Parri and the old creeks cross the landscape shape ancient songlines and beliefs. The impact of European colonisation led to dispossession but connection to Country remains. Recollections and stories contribute to a new understanding of Kaurna culture and the significance of place. While Kaurna artefacts are rare, a number of important historical Aboriginal objects have been loaned by Kaurna Elders, and others have been specially created as part of this exhibition which is a collaborative effort involving the generosity of a number of groups and individuals.
