Beaumont House: What’s in Our House, I Wonder?

Find out more about the people and families who lived at Beaumont House featuring Bishop Augustus Short, first Anglican Bishop of Adelaide, 1849; then Sir Samuel Davenport, politician, horticulturist & pioneer of South Australian olive oil industry, 1857; then Major William Vincent in 1907; Richard Bennett in 1911 followed by Kenneth Brock. The house has a distinctive Mediterranean character with an open brickwork parapet in soft terracotta colours and a central flat roof originally accessed by a staircase. Find out more about this State Heritage listed house, stories and achievements of the people who lived at Beaumont House.
