Barwell Boys: South Australia’s British Farm Apprentices

This pop-up display explores the stories of the boys who migrated from the United Kingdom to South Australia under the Barwell and Little Brothers farm apprenticeship schemes. These boys and young men went to work on the land, and their varied experiences illustrate farm life in South Australia during the 1910s and 1920s. This display was produced by the Barwell Boys and Little Brothers Family and Friends Association.
