Antipodean Dreams: The Story of Charles Sturt’s Journey into the Unknown

As one of Australia’s most famous explorers, Charles Sturt’s legacy was not the conquest of a continent. It is rather, the story of how one man’s beliefs and dreams were weathered by Australia’s ancient landscape and the civilisation which nurtured it. Denise Schumann OAM, exhibition designer, will speak on Sturt’s life, his love of natural science and the complex process of colonisation. This special talk will be followed by a tour of The Grange. A jewel of an evening including wine and canapés. Bookings will be limited to 20 people.
