It is hard to imagine that this small section of leafy, residential Gover Street has, over time, been the location of not just houses but of doctors’ surgeries, corner stores, horse drawn trams, bakeries, leather goods and bicycle manufacturers. The people who lived here have included lawyers and carpenters, turncocks and suffragettes, rabbis and spray painters.
This exhibition is designed to give a glimpse of that diversity.
